Manager Communications

Advantage Solutions is one of North America’s leading sales and marketing agencies specializing in outsourced sales, merchandising, category management and marketing services. The Company services a variety of trade channels including grocery, mass merchandise, specialty, convenience, drug, dollar, club, hardware, consumer electronics, home centers and ecommerce. We are currently recruiting for a seasoned Communications Manager who can design a robust communication strategy, engage multiple stakeholder groups, and create compelling messaging and content. As part of the HR team, the Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and leading communications strategies and protocols to support Advantage Solutions’ people strategy. In this role, the Manager will work to ensure that all communications impacting the associate experience are well-coordinated, planned, and sequenced; are integrated and presented in a way that makes sense to associates; and follows established leadership and business review process guidelines.  The Communications Manager will also improve and maintain HR’s digital communication presence and serve as a project manager for HR projects as needed.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, and partnering closely with HR subject matter experts (SMEs), this role will be responsible for:

  • Designing a comprehensive Communications Strategy
  • Creating a robust communication plan that outlines coordination, sequencing, and calendaring activities
  • Developing and executing communications protocols and guidelines
  • Identifying communication needs for projects impacting the Associate Experience
  • Seeking out common themes for communications efforts across the portfolio of HR work
  • Managing the creation and execution of project plans to deliver communications on-time and with input from all key stakeholders - including HR leadership and SMEs, HR Business Partners, and the leadership team
  • Writing and editing content with a focus on ensuring that communications are audience-focused, use consistent messaging, follow established guidelines for tone and look-and-feel, and reinforce the desired associate experience
  • As part of project planning, ensuring that communications are cascaded through the organization using a consistent approach
  • Serving as a site steward for all HR intranet sites. Serving as project manager for refreshes of current HR intranet content, and for the development of new microsites and intranet pages supporting HR projects and communications
  • Developing a review process and cadence to ensure that HR intranet pages include consistent, up-to-date, user-friendly information, messaging, and images that reinforce the desired associate experience

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • MBA Degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 8+ Years of experience in Corporate or Government Communications
  • Understanding of Human Resources (Benefits, Compensation, Talent Development, Talent Acquisitions, & Policy)
  • Experience with digital platforms, SharePoint and PowerPoint
