Account Executive – Commercial Solutions

The Account Executive is responsible for conducting in-person sales calls, presenting products and obtaining orders from new or existing customers for our clients’ products and for ensuring client and customer satisfaction with assigned distribution customers to produce new revenue for the organization.  The Account Executive role is an outside sales job and will primarily be engaged in the field making sales calls.  This is also a highly collaborative position where the AE is engaging with their fellow AE counterparts to achieve client/ team sales goals and objectives.

Responsibilities 

  • Conducting Outside sales calls, generating revenue and meeting our client’s sales objectives and goals with assigned distributor partners as well as end users (assigned and self-generated)
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with customers in all segments of the distribution channel including manufacturer, distributor, and user
  • Conduct sales and product training meetings for distributor sales representatives
  • Negotiating distributor programs and writing the agreements for those programs
  • Prepare and conduct food shows, sales events and trainings with operators and distributors
  • Managing projects and internal communication to achieve established revenue goals
  • Plan and prepare for sales calls by analyzing the operation, identifying trends and new products to present, gathering pricing, products, stocking and nutritional information to present during sales call
  • Report timely and accurate sales activity into appropriate databases and to clients and distributors as appropriate
  • Participate in sales training with Clients and Waypoint Associates

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years or more of related sales experience (Food Service, Food and Beverage, Distributor, Janitorial, Sanitation, experience preferred)
  • Travel up to 50% including market sales calls at local and territory level, overnight travel, out of state travel for sales meetings.
  • Attendance of quarterly sales meeting (up to 4 days a quarter) with flying and overnight stays required.
  • Attendance of local General Sales Meetings 1 day a month (2-3 hours)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office; working knowledge of SharePoint
  • Superior interpersonal communication and group presentation and facilitation skills
