Director Information Technology Compliance

Advantage Solutions is currently seeking a Director of Information Technology Compliance located in Irvine, CA. A key leadership role in our IS & T team, the Director of Information Technology Compliance leads technology risk, governance, and compliance initiatives for Advantage Solutions enterprise wide. This role will help lead and prioritize current and future state technology risk assessments, audits, regulation compliance/controls projects. Responsible for continued and strategic information risk posturing for the company and reports detailed information regarding this risk to key stakeholders. The Director of Information Technology Compliance will work closely with Infosec management, Internal Audit leadership, and External Audit teams to assess risk, then design and implement controls to mitigate that risk.

Qualifications

  • Strong audit background with risks and controls associated with information security, systems development methodology, application controls, vendor management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science and/or 5+ years related work experience as a technology leader.
  • 7-10 years related work experience, including 3+ years in risk and compliance leadership.
  • Experience of the technology and risks associated with web applications and cloud environments.
  • Knowledge and experience of legal and regulatory requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the upcoming California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and similar data privacy laws.
  • History of successful development and maintenance of diverse information security policies, standards and guidelines.
  • Experience developing or formalizing Enterprise Risk Management plans and methods.
  • Proven experience managing third party risk processes for business partners, affiliates and subsidiaries. Works with legal team to review third party contracts ensuring appropriate data safeguards are included.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – prior experience communicating detailed compliance findings/presentations to key leadership, stakeholders and audit partners

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment, experienced working within a publicly held organization, multiple acquisitions environment, practiced in maneuvering around a large enterprise
  • Knowledge and experience with SOC2 preparation and audit including Trust Service principles a huge plus
  • Experience managing multiple projects of diverse scope and effectively collaborating in a cross-functional environment
  • Ability to communicate complicated and strategic technology initiatives to business leadership in a clear, concise manner
  • Certification including one or more of: CPA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, CISM are a plus but not required
