Creative Director – Creative Strategy

Brand Connections, an Advantage Marketing Partners experiential marketing agency, is in search of a Creative Director who will lead creative strategy for the agency. Responsible for directing the creative vision for the business and strategic planning, partnering with agency and account leaders in strategic thinking to define project assignments, and developing and executing creative solutions. You will be responsible for managing standards for both art and copy while efficiently leading the creative team. But we are looking for more than just a Creative Director. We are looking for that fusion of creativity, innovation, strategy and most of all storytelling. You will help define the Brand Connections story for our agency and for our ideas. We need big thinking and innovative and engaging ways to share that thinking with our clients to excite them and convince them to work with us and bring our ideas for their brands to life.

  • Establish, manage, and maintain the creative direction and goals for specific projects ensuring they fit the Client, brand, and business objectives.
  • Oversee assigned projects and new business opportunities ensuring they are the best demonstration of the agency’s capabilities.
  • Manage fiscal job budgets and utilization of all team members to prepare reports as needed.
  • Develop the team’s knowledge and understanding of the Client’s business, marketing needs, and situations.
  • Develop and assess individual team member’s technical skills, professional techniques, training needs, and professional growth while completing assigned projects by the deadline.
  • Assign projects to achieve achievable workload balance, effective challenges for each team member’s skill level, and career development.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Advertising, Graphic Design, Communications, Journalism or equivalent job-related experience is required
  • 8+ years of experience in the marketing or experiential industry focused on consumer products, media, or agency experience
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Experience managing copywriters or directing art/design (advertising, promotion, and interactive media)
  • Proficient in working with and managing creative professionals such as copywriters, vendors, freelancers as well as collaborating with account counterparts
  • Ability to effectively utilize MAC computers and current fluency in relevant computer programs such as: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, QuarkXPress, Acrobat, and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Entourage)
