Compliance Officer

Reporting to the General Counsel, the Compliance Officer is responsible for design, implementation, oversight, and ongoing management of corporate compliance and corporate regulatory practices and programs. These programs will promote a culture of ethics compliance and assist Advantage Solutions in complying with all applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations and internal policies.  The successful candidate:

  • Will be responsible for advising and counseling multiple businesses and corporate support functions, including governance, financing, business development initiatives and advising on governance and regulatory matters, in close collaboration with the legal department, internal audit, finance department and the executive leadership team.
  • Will oversee corporate investigations and manage a team of internal investigators.
  • Will be actively involved in creating, maintaining and distributing corporate policies related to corporate governance, including the Company’s Ethics and Business Conduct Policy, FCPA and anti-bribery legislation.
  • Will be responsible for receipt, review and appropriate distribution of reports received through reporting channels set up for “whistleblower complaints”, including third-party hotline system.
  • Will work with operational divisions and internal audit teams to develop, communicate and maintain corporate governance programs, certifications, policy development and testing.
  • Will develop and propose new policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • The Compliance Officer should have prior experience developing and/or managing a corporate compliance program within a large, global organization.
  • A combination of top tier law firm and in-house experience with compliance focus is a plus.
  • Experience with corporate investigations and accounting/auditing is also a plus, as is meaningful experience with corporate privacy matters.
  • Demonstrate leadership, with ability to balance legal and business considerations, multi-task, problem-solve and operate in fast-paced and rapid growth environments.
  • Experience with complex commercial and business development transactions (including contract interpretation and conducting investigations).
  • Ability to work collaboratively and as a member of a team, and to inspire and mentor others.
  • Unquestioned integrity, credibility, professionalism and judgment.
  • Curiosity and an enthusiastic willingness to gain a deep understanding of the Company’s business and industry trends.
  • Remain current with respect to and advise senior management on all developments in relevant state, federal and international regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate Degree and excellent credentials from an accredited Top-Tier Law School and undergraduate school.
  • Active bar membership in good standing in the United States.
  • Should have at least 10 years of relevant compliance, regulatory, and privacy experience.
  • The position will involve occasional travel within the continental U.S. and internationally.
