Cost Accounting Manager - Inventory

We are seeking an experienced Accounting and Inventory Manager to effectively manage the financial operations of the assigned division Fulfillment and Collateral Services by managing the accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting, either by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. This role will review monthly results with Divisional Controller and Division President and liaise with other departments when necessary.

  • Responsible for preparation of monthly accounting reports and reconciliations.
  • Understanding of cost accounting GAAP methodologies and costing/valuation of inventory.
  • Prepare and post journal entries and month end accruals in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage daily inventory transactions including monitoring and processing of inventory adjustments and researching and resolving of transaction errors.
  • Oversee periodic physical inventory counts and quantify financial impacts related to the inventory counts.
  • Assess current accounting operations, drive process improvements by offering recommendations and implementing new processes and controls.
  • Work with operations to improve accuracy in reporting related to inventory cycle counts.
  • Assist with timely and accurate financial reports which summarize, analyze and forecast the division’s business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and expected operations; and presents such reports to management.
  • Support monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes.
  • Liaison with Corporate offices and intercompany transactions.
  • Supervises the assigned Accounting/Finance personnel.


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required; CPA preferred
  • 7+ years of related experience in finance/accounting.
  • 3+ years in inventory accounting.
  • AX Dynamics experience preferred.
